The City of Shinnston (Pop. 2,240) located conveniently in North Central West Virginia, two hours north of the State Capital, Charleston, WV, and two hours south of Pittsburgh, PA. Our city’s rich heritage has its earliest beginnings in 1778 when Levi Shinn constructed his log home along what is now Route 19, today it is the oldest standing structure in North Central West Virginia.
