The County has closed the portion of the Rail Trail that passes underneath the Veterans Memorial Bridge up to East Pike Street by the Waste Water Treatment Facility. The restroom area along the trail is still accessible. If you’re wanting to access the trail coming from the downtown portion along Railroad Street, turn Right onto Mahlon. From Mahlon turn Left onto Pike Street and continue past the old high school onto East Pike Street, which will lead you directly to the Waste Water Treatment Facility and allow you to continue on the trail to your right. This closure will be until further notice.
